Type of Scholarships

The NNPC/TOTAL Scholarship is a national scholarship program open to all types of Nigerian students in their undergraduate programs. Individuals in all courses can apply and be granted the NNPC/TOTAL scholarship as far as he/she is enrolled in any undergraduate program in Nigeria and they have met up with the requirements and have passed the test marks and other criteria to be qualified.

Eligible Nationality

The NNPC/TOTAL scholarship is a Nigeria-owned scholarship program opened for all the indigenous students in any university in Nigeria who have met the requirements and have successfully carried out all the other processes for the application.

Host Nationality

The NNPC/TOTAL scholarship is not open or hosted in any country apart from Nigeria. All the application processes and test results are carried out and determined in Nigeria.

Criteria to be eligible for the NNPC/TOTAL scholarship

In other to be eligible for the NNPC/TOTAL scholarship, you must possess all the following criteria:

  • You must be a full-time student in any recognized Nigeria university and must be studying any undergraduate program. Part-time students are not qualified for the NNPC/TOTAL scholarship
  • Individuals must be a certified 100l or 200l student at the time he/she is applying for the scholarship. All levels above 200 will not be considered for the scholarship
  • You must show proof of Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) score in other to be eligible for the application
  • Individuals must also present their SSCE result equivalent for the application
  • You must show proof that you’re admitted into any accredited university in Nigeria by showing your admission letter from your university, alongside your matriculation number
  • Individuals who apply through direct entry must show proof of A level or equivalent certificate

 

Who should not Apply for the NNPC/TOTAL Scholarship

The following groups of people are not eligible or qualified for the NNPC/TOTAL Scholarship

  • If you’re a student with a JAMB score of less than 200, either you’re enrolled in any university or not, you’re not eligible for the application
  • If your CGPA falls below 2.5 out of the 5.0 point scale, then the NNPC/TOTAL Scholarship is not for you
  • If you’re above 200l, you’re no longer qualified to apply or will not be granted the NNPC/TOTAL Scholarship

What is the worth of the NNPC/TOTAL Scholarship?

NNPC/TOTAL Scholarship is a year term program that is worth the sum of NGN 150,000 to cover school fees, books, accommodation, etc. It is a one-time payment for the beneficiary.

How to Apply for NNPC/TOTAL Scholarship 2021

Applying for the NNPC/TOTAL scholarship is very easy and flexible. In order to begin the application, it is good you read through all the necessary requirements and you should keep all the documents to be uploaded.

To apply for the scholarship, you should

Enter your personal information: This should be after logging into the NNPC/TOTAL scholarship application portal. You’re to enter all the necessary information about yourself in the space that will be provided for you.

This includes your date of birth, your permanent home address, your contact information, and a recent photograph of yourself (passport). To avoid errors in communication, you should use an active email address or phone number as the information may come at any time.

Result Information: Your results information such as JAMB score result (using your jamb statement of result) and your current CGPA. If you’re a medical student in year two, your JAMB result is sufficient.
