As a Non-government organization scholarship program, the CRV AmBreed Awards for International Students is aimed at helping Nigerian students in pursuing their degrees in agriculture.

Students to be granted this scholarship award must have a keen interest in animal husbandry and animal genetics. He/she must also have an interest in environmental sustainability, farm management, and other activities related to that. It is awarded to three applicants yearly with the sum of $3000 each. is a non-government organization scholarship for Nigerians established by philanthropist Jim Ovia.

It is offered to Nigerian students through Covenant university and Ashesi University in Ghana. It is a fully-funded scholarship program specifically for those from fewer income backgrounds and is wishing to study in the said university in Nigeria.

Normally, 25% of the scholarship awards are given to Nigerians and the rest to other countries across Africa. The number of candidates chosen for this scholarship program yearly is 35.
